MEET THE TEAM
Kate McNeely is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) with more than fifteen years experience in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and administration. She most recently served as the Director of Strategic Advancement and External Affairs at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, with additional experience as the inaugural Director of Development for Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network (GAIN) as well as work at Planned Parenthood Southeast and Woodruff Arts Center.
Kate has specialized in building brand strategies and communications efforts alongside complex annual development plans for federal and private foundation funding, corporate giving, event fundraising, and individual support. She is a Past President of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Greater Atlanta Chapter, and a graduate of Leadership Buckhead Class of 2020. She has presented locally and at national nonprofit conferences on the subjects of ethical storytelling, authentic leadership, and the connective strategies bridging fundraising and communications work.
Ms. McNeely was born and raised in Buckhannon, WV, and received her B.A. from Guilford College, where she was later honored as a co-recipient for their first Community Cares award. Ms. McNeely believes in giving back to nonprofit organizations whenever she is able; as a mentor, volunteer, and donor, she is particularly grateful for the volunteers and supporters whose dedication helps to power the nonprofit sector. She lives in Avondale Estates with her spouse, several unruly pets, and far too many plants.
